All Stars Fc’s skipper Paul Haggai ensured his sides qualification into the quarter finals of the ongoing Adamu Yola Memorial football competition with a last kick in their penalty shootout against Aston Villa.
The match between the two sides ended in a 1-1 draw after the normal 90minutes.
The last year runners up All stars FC went ahead 11minutes into the second half but Aston Villa responded well as they equalized immediately through James strike.
The match went into a penalty shootout were All stars came out victorious with a 4-3 win.
In the other match between Kampandi United FC and Kalaring United FC, the former advanced to the next round with a comfortable 2-0 win.
Ramson wasted no chance in placing the ball into top right hand corner of the opponent after just 5mintues into the match.
Ramson iced the cake by scoring the second goal for kampandi United right on the nick of halftime with a powerful strike.
All Stars and Kampandi have now joined the quarter finals party.
We will now wait to see the two clubs that will complete qualification into the last 8 tomorrow when Lapan United entertain Ture United while Barcelona FC faces Gujuba United FC. The first match starts at 2pm while the second match kicks off by 4pm.
