Gombe State ministry of youth empowerment Commissioner Malam Farouk Yarma was among the invited delegates headed by Nigeria Football Federation NFF President Amaju Melvin Pinnick that storm the Moscow State Kremlin Palace venue of the grand event were Russia's President Vladimir Putin was also in attendance.
One can recall Malam Yarma has passion in Sports particularly football, he privately owned a football Club FC Yarmalight which recorded tremendous achievement in less than a decade of its creation as the team got promoted to Nigeria's second tier league (Nigeria National League), the club produces professional football stars as well.
Having recognized Yarma's impact on Sports, back in 2012 His Excellency Governor Dankwambo appointed him as the pioneer executive Chairman of Gombe State Sports Commission (GSSC).
One good term deserve another, Malam Yarma's outstanding performance as Sports Commission's Chair pave way for him in Dankwambo's second tenure, this time as a Commissioner of the State Youth Empowerment Ministry (till date).
Malam Yarma has gone places sports wise the most recent was the Soccerex Global Convention held in Manchester in early September 2017.
