Buba Shongo Fc of Gombe has won the maiden edition of the Jersey carnival organized in Gombe ahead of their closest neighbour FC Federal low cost all in Gombe metropolist.
The match which was played at the Gombe township stadium Pantami was part of the activities to mark the 2017 edition of Jersey carnival.
Federal low cost took the lead after ten minutes of play due to a lacklustre defending from Buba Shongo's defenders through their striker Musa.
Despite falling behind earlier, Buba Shongo pressed on and equalized two minutes away from normal time from the sport where Must Tutu calmly converted.
The match went into penalties where Buba Shongo emerge victorious as they won the shootout 3-2.
Buba Shongo coach Emma Sobok expressed his delight with the way his players gave their everything despite falling behind. "it takes courage when you concede a goal in ten minutes, the new guys didn't acclimatize but they gave their everything" coach Emma said.
