Gombe based professional sports analyst Anas Bamusa opined that Gombe United are a better side compared to their counterparts in their NNL Northern group.
Anas stated this in a media chat with Jewel Sport today when asked about his expectations from the desert scorpions in the upcoming season.
The newly appointed NNL match commissioner said "they have a very good group, all North, less experienced, less financial power and above all less ambitious teams. So the league is their's to loose".
Anas who spent three years as a match commissioner in the NWL gained promotion to the NNL due to his commitment and deligence to the work expressed their readiness to do the job deligently.
"We're well pepared, equipped with the 2018 laws of the game, and well motivated to do the job diligently, especially with the new sponsor, betnaija".
Gombe United were drawn in group A1 alongside

Adamawa Utd
Zamfara Utd
Giodama FC
Jigawa Stars
Katsina Feeders
Gombe United will begin their campaign against a team in group A2.
The league is set to kickoff on the 3rd of March and will go on break during the FIFA world cup in June and July.
