Talba Cup set to return after world cup break


The 2018 edition of Talba football competition is set to return after the 2018 FIFA World cup. This was confirmed by the secretary of the organizing committee Murtala Sambo on Tuesday.
The competition which was put on hold before the FIFA mundial in Russia is set to resume this weekend with the finals of Balanga Local Government to determine the winner and the runner up.
Below are schedules of finals of the remaining Local Government:
-          Balanga – 28/7/2018
-          Nafada – 31/7/2018
-          Kwami – 1/8/2018
-          Y/Deba – 2/8/2018
-          Billiri – 4/8/2018
-          Akko 5/8/2018
Meanwhile, each of the 10 Local Governments in Gombe state have two representatives in the group stages while Gombe local government have 12 making the 32 clubs that will be drawn against each other in the next round.
The draws for the round of 32 is scheduled for 12/8/2018 at the Jewel Hall School of Nursing Gombe at 11am.
The Special Guest of Honour on that day will be the Gombe state Deputy Governor Mr. Charles Iliya.
The event will be sponsored by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Youths Mal. Farouk Yarma.
