Mailantarki Football Scouting Programme: LOC Chairman lauds Hon. Mailantarki and other partners


The Local Organising Committee of the just concluded Mailantarki Care Football Scouting Programme has expressed appreciation to the financier of the event Hon. Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki and other partners who helped in ensuring the success of the programme.

This was contained in a statement released by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee Umar Tanimu Umar, after the conclusion of the programme.

“On behalf of all members of the Local Organising Committee of the just concluded Mailantarki Care Football Scouting Programme, I would like to appreciate everyone that has in one way or the other contributed to the success of the programme”.

Tanimu, who was assisted by the Coordinator, Auwal Kawuwa, Adamu Usman Ahmed (Head of Media & Communication) and Mark Malele expressed special appreciation to the President/CEO of the Mailantarki Care Sports Academy, Honourable Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, whom he described as not only a sponsor of the programme but also an inspiration to the committee.

“Words are not enough to appreciate Honourable Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, the President/CEO of Mailantarki Care Football Academy, who not only sponsored the programme, but inspired and supported us to execute the docket streamlined as the objectives of the programme. The essence of bringing European-based football scouts to recruit talents from Northern Nigeria is showcased by the zeal of Hon. Mailantarki to give young talents an opportunity to be hired to play in the lucrative European football leagues. Thumbs up to him for this epochal initiative”, Tanimu said.


The Chairman of the Committee also lauded efforts of other partners whose contributions ensured the success of the scouting programme. “In the build-up and the implementation of the programme, we have enjoyed the support of all stakeholders: The Technical crew led by Coach Manu Garba, OON/MFR, Gombe State Sports Commission, Gombe State FA, Gombe State Referees Council, the Red Cross, members of the Press, security forces, clubs within and outside Gombe, and others too numerous to mention. We appreciate you all”.
